Anamosa Arboretum and Botanical Gardens A sanctuary for plants and animals where humans can
spend time with other living things. This project is a landscaped space where trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants
are being cultivated; a sacred place of refuge and protection is being created where people, plants, and animals can live
together under a shelter of safety. The project is dedicated to a young Indian girl named Anamosa. Native Americans
knew how to live in harmony with the land, taking no more then needed and giving back so that it would always be there.
It’s time our current civilization learns this lesson before we pass a point of no return. The success of this
project depends on community involvement. Welcome to everyone interested in becoming a Caretaker of the Earth.
